Toothpick Artists

Toothpick artists are the core of our creative home - resident fine artists and tattooers who bring their vision to life in our private studios, shaping the soul of our space day by day.

I tattoo in black and grey, mostly working in naturalism and surrealism, sometimes mixing the two until things get a little weird in a way I like. My favorite pieces are the ones that feel personal and a little offbeat, something you can’t quite explain, but it sticks with you.

I spend a lot of time drawing and thinking before I tattoo. The process matters to me just as much as the outcome. I want every tattoo to feel like it already belongs to the person wearing it. I’m not into rushing or churning out flash for the sake of content. I care about making things that last, visually, emotionally, all of it.

I care about nuance, atmosphere, and the inner worlds people carry around. That probably shows up in my art more than anything else.

My favorite part of tattooing is collaborating with people who are open and curious. You don’t need to have it all figured out. We’ll get there together.

I grew up in Tyre, Lebanon, where it wasn’t considered appropriate for women to have tattoos let alone become tattoo artists. So naturally, all I wanted was to be tattooed. When I moved to the States, everything changed. Each tattoo I got made me feel more like myself, like I was stitching patches back onto who I’d always been.

Growing up, I wasn’t always able to express myself how I wanted. Now, I want to help you express yourself unapologetically. I want to guide you through the process of putting your stories on your body, no matter what anyone else says.

I love creating thought-provoking tattoos that embody what you’ve been through art that feels like a walking protest sign: raw and honest. I gravitate toward bold lines, heavy blackwork, pops of color, and dot work.

When I’m not tattooing, you’ll usually find me outside with my dogs, reading, hiking, or exercising some kind of creative muscle. I hope my tattoos make you feel excited like you can make a difference just by showing up as yourself.

Tattooing feels like home and to put it simply, I love every thing about it. The creativity and the technical side of things, it's all there for me.

I am drawn to the intimacy of tattooing and its relationship to the long history of humans, though it need not be that serious. There is also a lightness and unassuming significance hidden away within the silliness of an irreverent joke or simple idea.

I specialize in illustrative realism, surrealism, and fine line working in both color and black & gray but I'm always up for working in other styles. My favorite things to tattoo include botanicals, snakes, bugs, birds, small portraits, vintage jewelry, random household objects and any weird or bizarre hybrid combinations of these things.

When not tattooing I make weird sculptures using handmade electronics and found objects. I also sometimes teach a ceramics class at the local college.

TIffany England

hi! My name is Tiffany and I love to illustrate the magical and whimsical natural world. I have been an independent artist since 2008 and I love what I do. My work has appeared on books, magazines, tarot decks and much more. When I’m not working on tattoo commissions, I am working out of my studio illustrating stories inspired by nature, fairytales and magic.

I officially launched my tattooing career in early 2023, motivated by a desire for in-person collaboration with clients and a connection with a creative community. Tattooing has been the most challenging assignment I’ve ever undertaken, but at the same time, has been the most rewarding. There is nothing more enriching than partnering with my clients to create unique pieces of fantasy art that they can wear and treasure for a lifetime.

I'm currently accepting clients for all sized tattoo pieces in black & grey and selected pieces in color. I would love to work on magical cottage-core and fantasy themed pieces, especially if they incorporate mushrooms, animals and botanicals.
