This class emphasizes enjoyment and exploration in the process of drawing. The goals will be to practice seeing, and surrendering to your authentic mark-making. The goal will not be to leave with a perfect drawing, but there will be several exercises and some of them will result in drawings and you might like them! More likely, you will be acquiring skills that will lead to future “perfect” drawings, and possibly larger lung capacity. There will be breathing, chatting, possibly stretching, definitely pretend drawing, and actual drawing on paper.
This class is great for people who think they can’t draw, drawers who want to loosen/shake things up, drawers who are feeling rusty, or drawers looking to be re-inspired. This class is intimate, serious and fun! Be aware: there will be partnered exercises so please sign up if you are comfortable (or at least willing to sit in the discomfort of) being stared at and drawn by one other person. Or bring a friend to partner with!
All supplies will be provided.
Bring an open mind and curious spirit.
