Kitchen Knife Skills with Chef Alex Colaianni

Cut with confidence. Cook with more ease.

This hands on class is all about learning how to handle a knife the way chefs do, without the pressure of a professional kitchen. Led by Chef Alex Colaianni, a longtime professional with more than 35 years in five star hotels, owner operated restaurants, and kitchens right here in Prescott Valley and Jerome, this class is built to make home cooks feel more comfortable, capable, and safe in their own kitchens.

Together, you’ll learn five essential knife cuts you’ll see again and again in recipes, along with proper technique, grip, and food science that helps everything make more sense. The class is highly interactive and focused on doing, not watching. You’ll be cutting, asking questions, and building real skills you can use immediately at home.

All supplies are included, students will use provided knives, cutting boards, and prep food. As a gift, each student will take home a one of a kind upcycled apron, handmade in Ghana.

Please note that this class is primarily taught at standing height tables and involves mostly standing for the duration of the session. If you have standing limitations, we recommend taking that into consideration before registering.

Whether you cook every night or just want to feel more confident when a recipe calls for “finely diced,” this class is a practical, fun way to sharpen your skills and deepen your relationship with your kitchen.

All sales are final.

All supplies included $65/student (includes a complimentary take home apron)
