Beginner Stained Glass Workshop with Dry Heat Trades

  • Toothpick Art Studio 371 Garden Street Suite D Prescott, AZ, 86305 United States (map)

No experience needed — all supplies included

Spend the day learning the timeless craft of stained glass in a welcoming, beginner-friendly setting. In this hands-on 4-hour workshop, you’ll create your very own stained glass piece (about 5–6 inches wide) from start to finish. Your instructor will guide you through every step — from cutting glass to soldering — and help you build the foundational skills you need to craft something beautiful.

This is a no-stress, no-judgment kind of class. You don’t need to bring anything but yourself. Whether you’ve never touched a glass cutter before or you’re just looking for a creative reset, this class is for you.

Class Overview & Outcome:

Class will start with reviewing proper safety practices and how the studio is set

up before moving on to the basic fundamentals and techniques of stained glass.

Students will learn how to cut, grind, foil, solder, and patina and use these skills

to create their very own stained glass panel selected from an instructor

approved pattern. At the end of the class students will walk away with a finished

project, ready to take home.

Students will learn to:

-

Select a pattern and glass

-

Cut glass accurately

-

Sand and grind edges

-

Apply foil to glass pieces

-

Solder project together

-

Clean and polish your finished piece

Supplies:

Students will be provided the tools needed to assemble their stained glass panels. These tools stay with the studio and are not to be taken home. Materials such as glass, foil, solder, etc. are included in the price of the course.
