Collage Salon

$10.00

Come join in on lively conversation while creating your own collage masterpiece. Collage Salon, modeled after French salon gatherings of the 17th and 18th centuries, is a small group meeting place to discuss the intersections of art, culture, community, and the self while transmuting through a cut + paste creative reimagining.

$10 per student

During this 3hr session, you’ll be guided through various collage styles and techniques as well as discussion topics. This is not a heavily instructed workshop with the demand of a finished product at the end, nor is it a vision board group or debate club. Collage Salon seeks to be a fluid experience that moves with intellectual exchange and with the waves of your own creative impulses. Participation in conversation is encouraged but not required - feel free to collage + listen.

Potential topics include: redefining beauty, alchemizing rage through art, the impact of perfectionism on creative and cultural expansion,  creating joy in times of struggle. (Topic ideas are also welcome!)

All supplies provided. No prior experience needed. Seating is limited, registration recommended.
