You Will Learn:

  • How to plan and place a design on clothing

  • Methods for transferring a design to clothing

  • Basic embroidery skills specific to clothing

Included in Your Class Kit:

‍ ‍

  • Adiemade strawberry design (and more!) to embroider on your clothes

  • Supplies to apply a design to your garment

  • Embroidery hoop, needles, thimble, and floss

  • Written instructions

  • Illustrated stitch guide

  • Embroidery tips and tricks guide

What to Bring:

An item of clothing of your choice. Denim, cotton, wool, flannel, or linen are great options for this project. Thinner cotton knits (or tee shirts) are good choices, but may be more challenging for the beginner. A sweatshirt is a nice middle ground if you want to go the knit route. Lighter colors are easier to transfer designs onto.

Can’t decide on the garment? You’re not alone! Bring a few options, a tote bag, or reach out for guidance before class.

About Adie: Adria Matthew makes things with her hands. Embroidery, garments, one-of-a-kind pieces that started as someone else's fabric. She teaches, she mothers, she dreams up new designs from her Prescott, Arizona studio. Find her work at adiemade.com or @adiemadestudio on socials
