This workshop is developed for people of all skill levels to create a functional mosaic that they will feel proud of. Use your creation as a bird feeder, a bird bath, or even a place to set your rings or keys! Artist Grace Sheehy will be guiding you through the process and will provide all materials needed to create a beautiful and functional mosaic. You are also welcome to bring additional items to put in your mosaic: glass, shells, beads, rocks. (no wood or plastic as they are unsafe for birds and will degrade).
This is a TWO DAY workshop with a four hour session the first day (Saturday) and a two hour session the second day (Sunday). Attendance at both days of the workshop is needed to complete your bird dish.
The bird dish will be set on a 7 inch terracotta saucer. Some glass pieces may have sharp edges. You will be guided on safety precautions.
Grace Sheehy has been creating mosaics for over ten years and has led multiple mural installations. This workshop will focus on how to create flow and cohesion with various shapes and textures.
